Fort Adams in Newport, R. I.

We toured this fort which is claimed to be the largest and most secure in the United States.  The senior rate was $10 per person and it was quite interesting.  The docent was very knowledgeable and the tour lasted almost 2 hours.  Afterwards, we went out to dinner at the Lobster Pot on the waterfront where I scarfed down some clams on the half shell along with a couple local beer chasers.  Aggie and I enjoyed scallops and they were yummy.
