2016 Summer Itinerary

Our summer trip will start July 6 and we plan on spending the night in a rest area the first night on Interstate 15 between Barstow, Ca. and Las Vegas, Nevada.  We plan to stop in Vegas the following day to lubricate our motorhome for this 7 week journey.  Our first stop will be Sand Hollow State Park in Hurricane, Utah.  Then we will head north to Heber City, Utah which is southeast of Salt Lake City, Utah.  Next, we have two weeks to tour Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming and we may head to Flathead Lake in Montana if I can snag a waterfront site.  We will then head west to Walla Walla, Washington for 2 days and spend one free night in a parking lot on the Columbia River before arriving in Portland, Oregon to visit our son Matt and granddaughter for 8 nights.  We will then head south to Bend, Oregon to visit our good friends, Chris and Gary for three nights.  Still heading south we will spend one night in Susanville, Ca. to dump our tanks and refill water for our next stop in Lake Tahoe, California to dry camp for one week.  Heading southwest we will stop one night in Manteca, Ca. to dump tanks and refill water for our next stop on the California coast in Morro Bay for four nights.   It is time to head home on August 26
