We have now left on our summer trip which will take us northeast to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota which will be our first major stop and the furthest east on this trip. We plan to spend 7 weeks on the road for this trip and will continue on to Flathead Lake, Montana, Glacier National Park, Coeur D'alene Idaho, Seattle, Wa., and a week in Vancouver, Wa., to visit our son Matt & Danika. We will then head south through Bend, Oregon and finish our trip in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
On July 5, we spent our first night in a rest area on interstate 15 in Utah. We pulled in at 6:00 PM which is early for a rest area, but I was driving for 10 hours and needed a rest so we spent the night here.
